Everything is large in Texas, but it seems that the rest of the United States has more than its share of the world’s largest somethings. Texas itself has the world’s largest fire hydrant in Beaumont; wooden nickel in San Antonio; kettle in Galveston; horseshoe in Marfa; cowboy hat in Paris; and of course, the world’s biggest burger served at Charlie Brown’s in Carrolton.

California is another big state full of big things, like the world’s largest shoe and Pez dispenser, both in Bakersfield; chess set in Morro Bay; hammer in Eureka; fiddle in Fiddletown; artichoke in Castroville; paper cup in Riverside; and the very patriotic U. S. flag in Long Beach.

Some of the world’s largest things can be found all over the United States. Here is a short list.

- Adirondack Chair: Westminster, Maryland

- Apple Basket: Frazeysburg, Ohio

- Baked Potato: Blackfoot, Idaho

- Ball of Rubber Bands: Wilmington, Delaware

- Baseball Bat: Louisville, Kentucky

- Basketball: Knoxville, Tennessee

- Clock: Clarksville, Indiana

- Conch Shell: Panama City Beach, Florida

- Dinosaur Park: Beaver, Arkansas

- Donut: Yokumtown, Pennsylvania

- Ear of Corn: Olivia, Minnesota

- Eight-ball: Tipton, Missouri

- Globe: Yarmouth, Maine

- Golf Ball: Fripp Island, South Carolina

- Guitar: Bristol, Tennessee

- Hockey Stick: Real Eveleth, Minnesota

Not all the world’s largest things in America are just curiosities. For instance, The world’s largest wind generator has two 400-foot blades, is 20 stories high and is located on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. Walmart of Bentonville, Arkansas is the world’s largest retailer. And there is lots more: The world’s largest American Legion Post is in Lincoln, Nebraska; the world’s largest carousel is in Spring Green. Wisconsin; the world’s largest flattop mountain is in Grand Mesa, Colorado; the world’s largest drive-in fast-food restaurant is the Varsity in Atlanta, Georgia; the world’s largest public library is the Harold Washington Library in Chicago, Illinois; the world’s largest commercial building is the Merchandise Mart also in Chicago; and the world’s largest brewery is Anheuser Busch in St. Louis, Missouri.

America has so many of the world’s largest that the list goes on and on. The world’s largest bookstore is a Barnes and Noble in New York City; the world’s largest vacuum chamber is 100 feet in diameter and located at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Sandusky, Ohio; the world’s largest supercomputing grid is the TeraGrid based at the University of Chicago; the world’s largest marine reserve is in Hawaii; the world’s largest honkytonk is Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth, Texas; the world’s largest casino in the Foxwoods Resort in Ledyard, Connecticut; the world’s largest McDonalds is in Vinita, Oklahoma; the world’s largest Bible is in Abilene, Texas; the world’s largest swimming pool is in Garden City, Kansas; the world’s largest guitar store is Ed Roman’s in Las Vegas, Nevada; the world’s largest hotel chain is Best Western, founded in Long Beach, California; the world’s largest department store is Macy’s in New York City; the world’s largest rose bush covers 800 square feet in Tombstone, Arizona; and the world’s largest laundromat is in Berwyn, Illinois and you still have to wait for a dryer!

Liverpool host Manchester City in Saturday’s early kick-off match in a contest which is vital for both sides who are desperate to claw their way back into the Top 4. Liverpool have only picked-up 7 from the last 18 points available and their title challenge has all but disappeared, while big-spending Manchester City are on a run of five successive draws. Fulham will be looking to continue their good run of current form when they visit Birmingham City, who have won just 5 points from the last 18. Burnley’s excellent home form is in stark contrast to their away form, where they have picked-up just the single point away from Turf Moor. Aston Villa will have a tough game on their hands when they visit the Lancashire club on Saturday. Chelsea’s season has stepped-up a gear and they are now 5 points ahead of their nearest rivals at the top of the Premier League table. Only a very brave man would bet on Wolves getting anything from their visit to Stamford Bridge on Saturday. At the other end of the table, Hull City host West Ham United in a clash between the 17th & 18th placed teams in the League. Arsenal’s superb recent form, which has seen them amass 16 from the last 18 points have a tough match on their hands at Sunderland, who were unlucky to have lost last time out to Spurs. The Black Cats need to get back to winning ways if they hope to stand a chance of European football next season. The late kick-off on Saturday evening sees a stuttering Manchester United take-on an improving Everton at Old Trafford. United have only dropped two points in their last 6 matches at home, so Everton will have their work cut-out to come away with anything. A local North-West derby between Bolton and Blackburn starts Sunday’s fixtures with the visitors in 14th place ahead of the home side who are struggling in 16th place. Tottenham Hotspur, up to 4th in the table after a win over Sunderland and with 10 points from the last available 18, are at home to 13th placed Wigan Athletic (full match preview), who have only beaten Spurs once before in their history. The final Sunday match is between 9th placed Stoke City and the League’s bottom club Portsmouth. The current form of both clubs is similar, with Stoke winning 8 and Portsmouth 7 of the last 18 points up for grabs. Four of the six clubs with a game in hand play on Wednesday night when Hull City are at home to Everton and Fulham host Blackburn Rovers. This leaves only Arsenal and Manchester City as the two clubs in the Premier League on 12 matches played. Saturday, 21 November 2009 Liverpool v Manchester City, 12:45 Birmingham City v Fulham, 15:00 Burnley v Aston Villa, 15:00 Chelsea v Wolverhampton Wanderers, 15:00 Hull City v West Ham United, 15:00 Sunderland v Arsenal, 15:00 Manchester United v Everton, 17:30Sunday, 22 November 2009 Bolton Wanderers v Blackburn Rovers, 13:30 Tottenham Hotspur v Wigan Athletic, 15:00 Stoke City v Portsmouth, 16:00Wednesday, 25 November 2009 Hull City v Everton, 19:45 Fulham v Blackburn Rovers, 20:00

A tip from me when choosing jeans - stay with your regular AUS size unless indicated on the product description, if you choose the bigger size you may find them too big in the bottom and thighs, and will be hitching them up all the time, as most maternity jeans sit underbelly. The jeans may feel a little snug at first but remember that the denim will give with each wear and wash.

OV500- Invisibelly Maternity Jeans by 1 in the Oven

STYLE: bootleg cut, low waist, hipster jeans, full front panel styling

FAB jeans by 1 in the Oven. Over six months in front panel during the later weeks to help ease back pain.

They are low waisted jeans though and the back is quite low but if you are used to wearing hipster styles then you will LOVE these.

Read testimonials and see more pics here

SER0002 - Seraphine Straight Leg Black Jeans

STYLE: straight leg, side panel styling, low waisted jeans

They fit under the bump with a front opening zip, looking just like regular jeans. The discreet stretchy sides will fit you comfortably from 1 to 9 months. The back just looks like your regular jeans and they sit slightly higher than the award winning jeans above.

If you don’t like the pressure of front panel styling on your tummy then side panels are for you! The same comfortable fit as the award winning jeans above.

Read testimonials and see some pics by going to http://www. queenbee. com. au/content. aspx?Dyn=true&pageID=14

SER0008 - Seraphine Boyfriend Jeans

STYLE: straight loose leg fit, side panel styling

Great to disguise curves and flatter your bottom, the expert cut of this jean will really do wonders to your silhouette. Low waist, they fit under the bump with very discreet stretchy panels on both sides of the front pockets.

These are quite a generous fit. In comparison with the Award Winning Jeans SER0001, the denim is very lightweight and softer, also great for those who don’t like the firmness of underbump waistband styling as the front of the jeans is just like regular jeans.

Read testimonials and see some pics by going to http://www. queenbee. com. au/content. aspx?Dyn=true&pageID=14

JNS110 - Crave Pull On Jeans

STYLE: bootleg cut, front panel styling, low rise

In comprison with the Seraphine jeans - it is the same styling but the Crave jeans are about 1″ higher in the waist and sit higher at the back (you can see the difference in the pics if you look where my belly button is). Great for those who aren’t used to the low waist hipster jeans and feel they are always hitching their jeans up!

The Seraphine jeans are a dark blue washed softer denim, while the Crave are just a very dark blue denim but will get softer and fade slightly with each wash + wear!

* Unfortunately this style has been discontinued so grab one while you can!! *

Read testimonials and see some pics by going to http://www. queenbee. com. au/content. aspx?Dyn=true&pageID=14

JNS130 - Crave Distressed Denim Jeans

STYLE: bootleg cut, soft washed dark blue denim, side panel styling

Fabulous fit maternity jeans in a very soft distressed dark denim wash - looks just like your regular jeans from behind. Button fly fastening, 5 pocket styling and side panel elasticised waistband - plenty of support for your growing belly.

For those who can’t do hipsters these jeans have complete rear/bottom coverage when bending over! They sit quite high at the back and underbelly at the front.

Read testimonials and see some pics by going to http://www. queenbee. com. au/content. aspx?Dyn=true&pageID=14

JNS140 - Crave Vintage Straight Leg Jeans

STYLE: straight leg cut, front panel styling, dark blue denim wash

These are exactly the same as JNS110 but with straight leg styling. Available in regular or long length. Please definitely order a size bigger as this style is a small cut.

Read testimonials and see some pics by going to http://www. queenbee. com. au/content. aspx?Dyn=true&pageID=14

MJ01/MJ02 - MamaJ Classic Denim Maternity Jeans

STYLE: bootleg cut, dark blue denim wash, clever side panel styling, back adjustable button, low waist

The ultimate boutique maternity jean from MamaJ Jeans! High quality denim that doesn’t sag or get stiff after washing. Low waist, 5 pocket hipster styling. Slimming design which also lengthens the body. If you are looking for a trendy jean that you can wear even after pregnant then this one is for you! The side panels are very discreet. Worn by celebs such as Bec Cartwright, Mirando Otto and Rachel Griffiths!

Read testimonials and see some pics by going to http://www. queenbee. com. au/content. aspx?Dyn=true&pageID=14

MJ03/MJ04 - MamaJ Cargos (forest/black)

STYLE: low waist styling, discreet back elasticised waistband

Cool, hip designer cargos from MamaJ. High quality stretch drill cotton fabric. Low waist, 5 pocket hipster styling. Super comfy stretch fabric - an essential wardrobe item - these comfort cargos will take you from casual to sporty to evening.

Read testimonials and see some pics by going to http://www. queenbee. com. au/content. aspx?Dyn=true&pageID=14

OV139 - 1 in the Oven Essential Black Pants

STYLE: foldover stretch waistband, the boutique yoga pant!

I LOVE these pants and have been living in them everyday of my pregnancy! I lightened the picture to show the detail of the ruched waistband - totally adjustable so you can wear it over belly or underbelly to suit your mood. The fabric is soft MODAL cotton/spandex which won’t pill or fade and stretches back into shape after each wash.

Perhaps not dressy enough for corporate work places, but you will live in these every day especially after bub is born. I’ll be sure to pack these for my hospital stay!! 10 stars **********

Read testimonials and see some pics by going to http://www. queenbee. com. au/content. aspx?Dyn=true&pageID=14

FM020 - Funmum Bengalin Trousers

STYLE: bootcut leg, foldover waistband, bengalin stretch fabric

These are highly recommended for work at a great price of $78. 95 AUD! - the fabric is soft, stretchy bengalin (with a very slight sheen). The top of the pants is the same fabric which can be worn over or underbelly. Stay with your regular size as they are a slightly loose fit.

Are you tall? Are you petite? Do you have long legs? Do you have a large middle? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then you probably have struggled to find the perfect pair of jeans. In today’s world, every woman has the same struggle trying to find the exact characteristics in a jean that will best fit her body. In this article, we will outline some of the more popular attributes that many women have and then give you our recommendations for the perfect jean.

If you are Tall with Long Legs. This describes a woman who is over 5’7” and has a longer lower body, meaning she is easily able to wrap her legs around something. To suit your frame, you should go for jeans with at least a 36” inseam to accommodate your long torso. Hudson’s “Supermodel Jean” is all the rage among, who else, Supermodels and tall women the same. Other great brands are Rock & Republic and Habitual who offer a large variety of options for tall women who are leggy.

If you are Slim with a Boyish Frame (No Hips). This describes a woman who is narrow-waisted with no visible curves. Kate Moss is a great example of this type of frame. If you wish for jeans to fit your frame well, a straight leg or skinny jean would look great. Aim to buy jeans without any stretch, as these types of jeans will only slide because you have little to no hips for the material to cling to. Rock & Republic and Rich & Skinny are great brands while Brown Label’s “The Rebecca Straight Leg” is an ideal style for women who have this shape.

If you are Petite. The word petite covers two extremes of woman who are of a shorter stature. Raven is a great brand for petite woman in general.
*If you are Petite and Curvy. This means you are 5’4” or under and have a full bust, smaller waist and thicker thighs. You define a Coke-Bottle shape. For you, a great jean needs to have a bit of stretch and should not have tiny back pockets. This little detail will make your rear look bigger than it is. Joe’s Jeans “The Honey” and Paper Denim & Cloth “The MOD” are fan favorites if you have this frame.

*If you are petite and Slim. As before, this means that you are 5’4” or under, however you are a little more proportionally built with a smaller bust, small waist, and slimmer legs. Skinny Jeans with high heels is a great combination for your frame. The close-fitting jeans will give you volume while the heels give you height. Millard Fillmore “The Straight Leg” and Joe’s Jeans “The Provocateur” are our picks for this type of frame.

If you have Full Hips, Thighs, and a Small Waist. If this is your frame, you have a Coke-Bottle shape as well. Usually, when you purchase jeans that fit your hips and thighs, you have a gap at your waist. Some of the best jeans for you would be trouser-cut, wide-leg, and sailor style in darker washes. These would give your body a great streamlining effect. Favorites for this curvier figure are Aristocrat’s “The Windsor Boot Cut” and GoldSign’s “The Orchard Wide Leg”. Both perform double duty with angled waist bands and stretch denim.
If you have a Larger Middle. Many women, especially after having children, fall into this category. This frame is characterized by having a larger stomach that many times will hang over the waist band of low-rise jeans. The best jeans are those with a medium rise instead of a low rise and have extra stretch to accommodate your middle. Jeans with decoration around the waistband should be avoided, as the decoration will draw unwanted attention to your middle. Not Your Daughter’s Jeans “The Tummy Tuck Jean” and Paige Premium Denim “The Rising Glen” are great options if you have this frame.
If you are Tall and Curvy. You are one of the rare women who have earned the title “Amazon”. Serena Williams is a great example of this voluptuous shape. You need to find jeans to accommodate your shape, which includes all of your curves and your height. Go for a jean with at least a 36” inseam that are stretch and preferably wide-leg. These three factors combined will give you an amazing and polished look. Hudson, Citizen’s of Humanity, and Davis Kahn are brands that we highly recommend for women with this frame.

If you have Fuller Thighs. If you have this frame, it is highly likely you have to go a size or two larger in jeans to find the perfect jean that fits you best. Dark denim boot-cut styles are a winner. Also, try to find a jean with at least 2% stretch to accommodate your thighs. Joe’s Jeans “The Honey Jean” is one of the best for this frame.

No matter your shape or size, there is a perfect jean for you. Use this as a guide to find the jeans that will hug your body in all the right places. And remember, once you find the right jeans for you, shopping for them will no longer be a struggle. Good Luck & Happy Shopping!

If you are looking for designer jeans, be prepared to spend hundreds of dollars. The designer jeans such as Laguna Beach Jeans that are featured today are not your mom’s designer jeans. They are costly, although they fit well and are comfortably fitting. If you want to wear Laguna Beach jeans, you do not have to pay the full price if you go online. You can often get a discount when you get designer jeans by going online. Designer jeans today have come a long way since those that first made the scene in the 1980s, although the concept of designer jeans is still the same. They are exclusive jeans that cost more money than ordinary jeans and set the wearer apart. This is coupled with the fact that many celebrities wear Laguna Beach jeans. Oscar nominee Anne Hathaway is one who wears Laguna Beach jeans. In order to purchase true designer jeans, you can go to a store or you can go online. You can often get a good deal when you purchase these products from an online venue. You do not have to contend with a sales commission when you go online or a store overhead. You can also have the convenience of shopping for hard to find designer jeans, such as Laguna Beach jeans, right from the comfort of your own computer. If you live in an area where designer jeans are difficult to find, this in itself makes it possible to own these jeans. In addition to purchasing jeans at these exclusive online outlets, you can also purchase accessories and other clothing that will make you stand out in the crowd. You can package your purchases together when you shop online and not have to leave your home. Many of the products that are worn by celebrities are difficult to find in run of the mill stores. This is another reason to shop for Laguna Beach jeans online. You can get the size that you want without having to go from store to store looking for them. Because they are so coveted, these designer jeans are often out of stock in high end department stores. The designer jeans of today are not like those of yesterday because they look like casual wear. The early designer jeans of the 1980s looked fancier than ordinary Levis. Today, the jeans look worn, but fit well and have a flared leg. They are more reminiscent of jeans of the 1960s than the jeans of the 1980s. They are made from stretchable denim that hugs the body and comes in a variety of different washes. You can get those that are darker in color or lighter. Most are all blue jeans, although there are some faded black designer jeans as well. All have the slightly flared leg that is less dramatic than what used to be called bell bottoms in the 1970s. You can find Laguna Beach jeans and dress like the celebrities without going broke when you shop for designer jeans online.

If you have been shopping for designer jeans, such as True Religion jeans or Monarchy jeans, you have probably discovered that they are not cheap. These designer jeans can cost upward from several hundred dollars when you buy them in a store. True Religion jeans and Monarchy jeans are two of the hottest brands when it comes to the new designer jeans, but they can cost quite a bit of money. The best way to get these labels and save is to shop for them online. By shopping online for True Religion jeans or Monarchy jeans, you can often save at least one hundred dollars or more. The amount that you save depends on the brand and style of jeans that you buy. Some brands cost more than others. Monarchy jeans are usually around the same price as True Religion jeans. When you go online, you will get deals on these jeans as well as other designer goods. True Religion jeans and Monarchy jeans are among the latest generation of designer jeans. Designer jeans first came to pass in the 1980s. Prior to that, most people who wore jeans wore Levis or Lee. These jean brands are around today. The designer jeans of the 1980s differed in style from the Monarchy jeans and True Religion jeans of today. These two jeans feature a slight flare and a tight fit. They are also well worn. If you are buying True Religion jeans or Monarchy jeans, you will notice that they are very faded and the denim looks worn. They fit snug to the skin, which is why they are so popular, and have a bit of stretch to them. Both True Religion jeans and Monarchy jeans are worn by many celebrities as they are figure flattering and stylish. Unlike the jeans of the 1980s, the denim used for True Religion jeans and Monarchy jeans is faded and worn and already worn in. This is also in keeping with the style. Prior to the designer jean craze of the 1980s, people would try to wash jeans before wearing so that they would fit comfortably. The current style of pre-washed and worn denim shown in Monarchy jeans and True Religion jeans of today is not much different than the pre-designer jeans of the 1980s. You can choose from a variety of different washed styles when you purchase True Religion jeans or Monarchy jeans. When you purchase these designer jeans online, you can also purchase other items to go along with this purchase. They include other products that are also worn by celebrities such as hoodies, hats and accessories. You can purchase designer clothes for less by shopping online and often save as much as one hundred dollars when you are looking for True Religion jeans and Monarchy jeans at an online store. Both of these designer jean styles are worn by both men and women and are featured on celebrities such as Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Owen Wilson. You can dress like a celebrity without spending like one when you purchase True Religion jeans or Monarchy jeans by going online.

I seem to remember around two decades ago, when the big people I knew were older. Nowadays, there seems to be a lot of younger people belonging to the plus-size category. Nevertheless, they need apparel that makes them stand out and look fashionable too. There are several fashion retailers that have come out with great outfits in large sizes. These are actually both for men and women. In the past, it was indeed easier for large men to find clothing that was suitable for their size; however, these were not always available in the latest fashions. The fashion industry is changing, along with the recent trends and needs for apparel. You can now find a lot of fashion shops and merchants on the Internet with a wide selection of plus-size clothing for both men and women. These apparel feature the latest fashionable trends, from sportswear, business wear, casual, sleep wear, underwear, shoes, etc. Popular designer brands are also included, and everything is designed and tailored exclusively for the plus-size clientele. Many of these apparel are also offered at discounted prices, which is another definite plus. As a matter of fact, more and more clothing companies are designing and creating new fashions and styles for larger customers. Some time ago, plus-size products for plus-size customers were hidden or tucked away into the corners of any store or outlet you can find. Times have changed indeed, as a wide variety of businesses, from clothing retailers to automobile manufacturers, have come to realize that big people are big for business, thus creating and customizing almost everything to fit the new market. But what exactly, you may ask, is a plus-size? Well, this is the general term used to define women’s sizes that range from size 12 and above. As mentioned above, these sizes are available in a wide variety of styles, from jeans, skirts, casual wear, and beach wear to outfits for special occasions, business, or athletic wear. A lot of plus-size outfits have styles that flatter the body, and are designed to fit the size and shape of a larger woman. These make it easier to flaunt a woman’s assets while camouflaging her concerns. There are now a variety of colors and styles for plus-sized dresses, jackets, tops, jeans, pants, lingerie, swimwear, skirts, and sweaters, to name a few. Sportswear and swimwear designs are especially created to allow bigger women to be active, while providing firm, reliable support. Full-figured teenagers can also indulge in their favorite fashions without worrying about limited availability of trendy and cool jeans, skirts, tops, and jackets. One of the most popular items for full-figured teens is the plus-size brassiere. This is easy to wear, comfortable, and allows her to fit, contour, and sculpt her body. Plus-sized fashions are now readily available for different seasons and occasions, and come in different fabrics, colors, and designs. If needed, information and advice on plus-sized apparel is always on hand from various retailer websites and those of the manufacturing or fashion design companies.
